There have been numerous calls about Ash Wednesday and the approaching storm. This is one of the days where if school is closed all activities are not automatically cancelled, like when there is a funeral. If roads are bad in the morning, a message will be sent out at 6am about the Mass at school at 8:30am. The phone extension for inclimate weather will also be updated at that time. However, a new determination will be made two hours before each service. (10am for St. Clement, 10:15am for SMSC, and 4pm for the 6pm Mass at SMSC.) So keep checking to make sure a service or Mass will be taking place. We will update as the day warrents. Nonetheless, remember that Ash Wednesday is not a Holy Day so there is no obligation to attend Mass or a service on this day. I know many want to “get” ashes, however, be safe and stay home if it is dangerous to travel! [Does this remind you of about 7 years ago? It does me!] Blessings to you, Fr. Duane
