Join us at Mass February 8 & 9, big game weekend – our faithful youth will be at the entrance of each of our 3 churches with soup pots. They are collecting monetary donations and non-perishable foods for our Pellston & Cheboygan food pantries. Last year was a great success, raising over $2000 – help us raise even more this year and support our locals who need some assistance. All donations stay local. Thank you for supporting our youth and our CPR Parishes communities.
The Funeral Mass for Fr. Jim Gardiner will be on Thursday, February 6, at 11 am at Cross in the Woods in Indian River (visitation from 10 – 10:45 am). Our parish offices will be closed so the staff can attend the funeral.
The new sound system at St. Mary/St. Charles will be installed this week through Feb. 6. Therefore, out of reverence, the Blessed Sacrament has been removed from the tabernacle. Tuesday (6 pm) and Wednesday (9 am) Masses will be at Sacred Heart Church. (SMSC Church will not be open during the day so they can run wires where needed. The church will be open for 1st Friday.)
Catholic Schools Week is celebrated January 26 – February 1. Join us for Mass on our usual weekdays & times of Tuesday evenings at 6 pm & Wednesday mornings at 9 am at St. Mary/St. Charles of Cheboygan, and the changed day this week will be with the Bishop presiding at Mass at Bishop Baraga Catholic School at 8:15 am on Thursday, January 30.
The school raffle winners will be announced at the Annual Spaghetti Dinner at BBCS on Wednesday, January 29, at 6 pm. Join us!
Two more dates left to join us for Soup Suppers following the Tuesday night Masses in Cheboygan at St. Mary/St. Charles. After 6pm Mass, come downstairs for a Soup Supper followed by a talk and/or video sharing the word from this summer’s Eucharistic Congress.
